Lady Gaga's most painful' experiences of her life..

After becoming an overnight star in 2009 from her hit Just Dance, Lady Gaga said adjusting to her new fame was so lonely it was 'painful'. The 30-year-old talent opened up about her bumpy rise to stardom in a new interview with The Mirror out Friday. In the interview, the six-time Grammy winner called that time of her life one of the most 'painful' emotional experiences while also admitting she doesn't think she'll 'ever be comfortable with fame. Your whole life changes [when you're famous],' explained the Bad Romance singer. 'The atmosphere, the energy around you, the responsibility, it just zaps you into a rollercoaster. One of the hardest parts about her sudden leap to fame was losing touch with her dear friends from the New York club scene. It was one of the most painful things I’ve emotionally had to deal with,' revealed the Mother Monster. It was so hard, not only because I missed them, but because I missed being there and living there..

and my life there and nothing about being famous or making money ever trumped that. Not only was it hard for the NYU alum to be away from her dearest friends,


but the Alejandro singer also felt creatively stilted without her community. I felt at a deficit in a serious way and then you still have to be creative and artistic, but my muses are gone.

Where are they? I needed them,' said the Poker Face singer. Early encounters with paparazzi were also stressful for the New York born talent. I really had a hard time. It’s quite overwhelming,' said the Perfect Illusion hitmaker. Sometime she found herself so upset, Gaga would find comfort in staff members she barely even knew.
